As some of you know my son (Dylan) attends preschool at South. Although the first day of school was a little difficult, I was glad to see him go. As the weeks went on we (Jen & I) would drop him off and pick him up together. Last week I didn’t go, when he got home the first thing that he wanted to do was for me to hold him. This was such a great feeling. He shared with me what he did at school and just hugged me, mostly.

I started to think, is this how we are when we attend church on Sunday mornings & Wednesday evenings? A time to embrace our Father (Jesus) and just love him because we are home and adore Him. A time to relax, unwind, and share with our Father, brothers, & sisters how our week or day is going.

I realize that I can do this this everyday and all day long through prayer and meditation with the Lord through His Word, but there is something special when you come in that front door and embrace the people you love and worship & embrace your Father in the family room.

Like everything else it’s well overdue. I just felt that if I’m going to hold others accountable that I need to hold myself accountable as well and I should lead by example. Leading by example sometimes makes sure that things will be accomplished in a manner that is correct, sometimes. But in order to be a good leader you have to be a great servant.

Some of the things that you might find me posting about would be:
